Golden Milk Latte Recipe

The Golden Milk Latte, otherwise known as the Tumeric Latte, is the perfect warm and creamy beverage for the coldest months of the year.

Making one at home is simple and you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry and spice cabinet!

Despite its name, this dreamy drink is caffeine free which makes it perfect to wind down with in the evening or to gently start your day in the morning.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric

  • 2 cups of your milk of choice (whole cow’s milk, almond milk, oat milk etc.)

  • 1 pinch of black pepper

  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

  • ½ inch of fresh ginger or ⅛ ground ginger

  • Nutmeg (optional)

  • Honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • Vanilla (optional)

Recipe:

One of the best parts of this recipe is that you can add every spice to taste! But to get you started, here’s a delicious combination.

  • Combine all ingredients in a small pot and bring to a boil

  • Once boiling, lower the heat to a simmer and let it sit for 5 minutes

  • If you used fresh ginger or your spices are a bit chunky, strain through a fine mesh strainer or a nut bag if you have one

  • Pour into your mug of choice and add your favorite sweetener!

Pro tip:

Making your own alternative milk, like oat milk, can boost the health benefits of an already immunity packed drink!

Add cinnamon sticks or even rose petals to the final product to add a bit of luxury and diverse taste!
